A little cyberspace to show some of the great talent we get to work with!
People in our community working to keep art and theater alive and prospering!
A versatile actor, John is certainly no stranger to the limelight's of Citrus County. In a suit or a dress, he brings his characters to life, and breathes life into his shows. This "Peep" can next be seen living the Fairytale in the Art Centers production of "Into the Woods".
Artist, actress, and Founder & Executive Director of the Twistid Arts Initiative, Elisha is a multi-talented lady that always has time to help the community. An avid student of the arts since the age of two, she devotes her time and resources to giving young artists the start they need.
If you're looking for wicked talent in a wonderful young lady, look no further than our "Peep" Spencer. Working the stage since age TWO, she is the very definition of a professional actress. Spencer combines the beauty of Snow White with the grace of Ginger Rogers... and the sense of humor of Shecky Greene (google it, kids).
Rylee is Lewis and Young's newest musical maiden! A wonderful singer and amazing actress, she has been instrumental in taking LYE to a new level of excellence. See her this month in the Encore presentation of "Steel Magnolias" at the Valerie Theatre in Inverness, Florida.
Our youngest Peep yet, Lola is a teenager with the old soul of an actor. Pretty and professional, she has the dedication to the craft that will surely fulfill her dream of becoming a Broadway star. Lola was last seen on stage in February, in A Wrinkle in Time at The Ocala Civic Theater.
Warm and wonderful, talented and tenacious, Kim is a real joy to work with. New to the stage, she has shown the courage to take on a role that would worry an experienced actress with years of stage time. You can see her in her stage debut the last weekend of January and the first weekend of February.
The driving force behind Lewis and Young Entertainment, Harry brings the receipts when it comes to being a storyteller. Producer, Director, and Star Wars droid builder, he keeps busy but always finds time to entertain and innovate the performing arts. See Harry's directorial genius at the end of January, with his production of “Steel Magnolias” at The Valerie Theater.
If you're looking for a fun and talented guy to work with, Alan is your man. Having worked with him for years, over a number of venues, we can honestly say that he gives a performance that is “loud and proud”. Alan has great voice control, and a confident stage presence that always makes for a wonderful show. An avid poker player, football fan, and highly proficient mixologist, Alan spends his time chasing his dreams.
A wonderful actress, dancer and choreographer, Lisa is great to work with. A veteran of numerous Citrus Art Center productions, she shares her love of theater and dance whenever called upon. Except maybe during football season. Coming off her recent directorial triumphs with the Art Center's productions of Young Frankenstein and The Trouble with Trent, she is on track to make her mark in the local theater community.
Retired teacher, artist and musician, this guy does it all! Tim is a warehouse of theatre knowledge and tech skills. He has been one of the cornerstones of Lewis and Young Entertainment from the beginning. Look for him in our upcoming "Live" radio show, "Humorween", coming to the Valerie Theater in October.
"The nicest person we know", Janet is fantastic to work with and a pleasure to be around. She has worked with several production companies locally, and always turns in a first rate performance. A true supporter of the community, she and her husband John go out of their way to raise money for good causes and to highlight the arts. Janet, for all you do, "This Peep is long overdue".
An amazing director and a fantastic musician, Danielle is the cornerstone of musical entertainment at the Art Center. One of the nicest people you'll ever meet, she lives up to the saying, "good things come in small packages". Danielle has dedicated her life to music and the bringing of enjoyment to others through theater. See her presentation of Young Frankenstein this month -- it will be a hit. Thank you, Danielle, for being our “Peep in the Peep Site” for July!
The hardest working couple in show biz... well, around here anyway. Dave and Gail are great to work with, and have been a mainstay of LYE video commercials. They have graced the stage at the Art Center, the Valerie, and in Dave's case, Ford's Theatre (but that ended poorly-sorry Mrs. Lincoln). The couple are veterans of last year's "Ten Minute Play Festival" staged by the Valerie Players. Thank you Dave and Gail!
Not just another "Funny Fat Man", Rex is a Producer, Director, Actor and Donut Influencer. Sought out because of his skills by several production companies, and The Royal Canadian Police, he spends his "off-stage" time writing and fighting extradition. Rex is a founding member of: The Valerie Players, FNPC, The Vintage Radio Players, LYE Productions and the Visigoth Hoard that sacked Rome in 410 AD. He does not look his age.
Actor, director, business owner and medical professional, are only a few of the hats worn by this Renaissance man. Larry was last on stage in the Lewis and Young production of Last Laughs For Twenty-Three, where he appeared as “Leading Man Larry” the inebriated and hilarious radio star. He has participated in productions for the Art Center Of Citrus County, several local charities, and was a founding member of the Vintage Radio Players.
A fun and wonderful person, Freedom is a professional hair stylist by day and a crowd pleasing comedian by night. He was a member of the cast of last year's sold out On Golden Pond at the Valerie Theater and a "Fan Favorite" in Last Laughs for 22 at the same venue. His upbeat nature and creative comedy is what made him our "Peep" for this month.
Rachel has returned to the stage after a long hiatus she refers to as LIFE. Her recent successes include: The Valerie's Ten Minute Play Festival, Scary Stories for Christmas at the Old Courthouse in Inverness and Last Laughs for 2022 at The Valerie Theater. She will next be appearing in Mysteries in March on March 3rd and 4th at the Old Courthouse in Inverness. She is Amazing!
Taken too soon, Wil was a great actor and a true inspiration to all of us at Lewis and Young Entertainment. He was a big part of the formula that made On Golden Pond the Valerie Players' most successful play to date. Wil's humor, talent, and humanity will be missed. Rest In Peace, Good Sir. Citrus Theater Beat Video.
Holly has been performing on stage since she was a little girl. She has performed locally and with the Insomniac Theatre Company in Ocala. She has played everything from “the girl-next-door" to “a homicidal hound”. Holly will next appear in Scary Stories for Christmas at The Old Courthouse on Dec. 15th, followed by an Old Time Radio Show at The Valerie on Dec. 30th. Her great talent and versatility is what makes her our Peep-in-the-Peep Sight for December.
Actor, musician, and playwright, Barry is an inspiration to local artists. In the past two months he has won a local play festival, starred in a stage play and played a concert at the Valerie Theater. Great job, Barry, and thanks for all the entertainment!
The Former Valerie Players Artistic Director, Pat is one of our go-to guys when we need input on a new show or idea. We have worked on a number of projects with Pat, and would just like to say, “Thank you, Pat, for all you do for us and the 'board-strutting community'."
